It is through the process of creation that artists express their individuality and communicate their unique perspectives. Submissions will be judged on how well the artist has used their materials, techniques, and concepts and to what extent the work is innovative and original.
Elevate
Art can inspire, uplift, and impact others.
Through their works, artists have the power to evoke deep emotion. Artists are encouraged to think about the broader significance of their creations and their potential to make a positive difference. The prize will assess how well the artist has endeavoured to make their work foster a connection and understanding among diverse audiences.

FAQs
A prize for artwork that celebrates the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.
Anyone who is over the age of 16 on the day of submission and submits work focusing on an aspect of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames is eligible.
Everything you need to enter can be found in the Artist Guidelines. If you need anything else, just get in touch.
Judging will be blind. Artwork will be presented to the judges without the artist's name or any other information about the artist.
We have a prestigious group of judges for this year's Prize. We invite you to read their biographies.
Aside from kudos and prestige, the winner will receive the coveted Richmond Art Prize award and a cash prize of £250. You will also have your work displayed at the Richmond Art Society Summer Exhibition and receive exhibiting status membership for the year.
